MILAN #1: NO SURPRISE. BUT FLORENCE #2?

Milan leads Italian provinces by imports in 2025, by a wide margin.

The ranking, based on ExportPlanning data, shows a strong concentration in Northern Italy, where many of the country’s main industrial and commercial areas are located.

At the same time, Florence ranks 2nd, Rome 4th and Naples 6th, adding a different dimension to the geography of Italian imports.

Florence is particularly striking: in 2019, it ranked only 15th.
